The importance of the rights to seeds to fulfill the right to food

In this declaration CETIM commended the report by the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food, welcoming the reference to the United Nations Declaration on the rights of peasants and other people working in rural areas (UNDROP) and the United Nations Declaration on the rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). These Declarations center on the right to land, seeds, and biodiversity, as well as collective rights anchored in the principle of Food Sovereignty.
