Oral statement by the CETIM following the report of the Special Rapporteur on the right to development. The CETIM agrees with the Special Rapporteur that the effective implementation of the right to development requires, first and foremost, respect for the sovereignty of States and the democratization of decision-making, both at the national and international levels.
