A treaty on TNCs at the service of the people

‘In recent years, we have witnessed a strategy of diversion and manoeuvring on the part of the Chair of the said Working Group, which is under the sway of the TNC lobbies and certain powerful States. Their aim is to derail the process and water down the content of the future treaty. In the context of the multidimensional crisis that has been affecting our societies for several decades and the current geopolitical reconfiguration, the TNC lobbies are becoming increasingly aggressive in order to avoid any regulation that is considered to be contrary to their particular interests’.
