Contribution to the new Working Group on peasants’ rights

UNDROP: a key step towards social and climate justice

At the occasion of the presentation of the first report of the newly appointed UN Experts’ Working Group on the rights of peasants and other people working in rural areas, CETIM, FIAN International and La Via Campesina submitted a written contribution, sharing their vision on the fundamental role that the Working Group should play in the promotion and implementation of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Peasants and Other People Working in Rural Areas (UNDROP). We are convinced that this mechanism will serve as a collective space where to articulate initiatives and actions for that purpose, thus contributing to the achievement of social and climate justice.
